Helga Brøgger

Dr. Helga M. Brøgger is a Principal Researcher at DNV's Healthcare Research Program, focusing on the safe and effective adoption of AI in clinical practice. She holds a medical degree, a specialty in radiology and a bachelor's degree in Culture Studies and Oriental Languages, along with certifications in information security and project management. Helga has a diverse range of expertise in healthcare, technology, and ethics, and has contributed to shaping policies and guidelines related to AI in healthcare. She has been recognized as one of Norway’s 50 Top Tech Women in 2024. |
Her key competences/experiences include:
- Healthcare and medicine: Served many years as a consultant radiologist at Oslo University Hospital, a level 1 trauma center, gaining extensive experience in managing complex cases and emergencies
- AI Policy and AI Ethics: Member of the Nordic Ethical AI Expert Group
- Patient safety: Worked as a senior advisor for the Norwegian Board of Health Supervision
- Regulatory insight: AI Act and EHDS, the European Health Data Space
